Ninjutsu, the art of the Ninja, is a 1000+ year old Japanese martial art, which for many years was shrouded in secrecy as one of the most effective martial arts of all times. Thanks to recent-years exposure of this system to the Western world, it is now available for study outside of Japan. And it is taught at Palo Alto Ninjutsu. The system practiced here belongs to a school named Bujinkan, one of the last remaining schools of Ninjutsu, which is headquartered in Japan and brings close to 900 years of continuous recorded history. Bujinkan's Ninjutsu, also referred to as Budo-Taijutsu, consists of a vast number of techniques and styles ranging from empty handed combat to the use of a wide variety of weapons including knives, staffs, swords and others. Ninjutsu is an effective and enjoyable way to develop both body and mind. It can be studied by people regardless of gender and age. |
